One of four pianists awarded the international honor of partaking in Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead program at The Kennedy Center, studying with legendary players such as George Cables, Curtis Fuller and Barry Harris, and performing on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center.

Performed with Jazz Ahead at the Delaware Jazz Festival, and was a consistent performer during the Spoleto Festival, a premier art and music festival that is the American counterpart to the Festival of Two Worlds in Speleto, Italy.

Keyboardist in the pop-rock group, The Upwelling, who were signed to an imprint of Universal Records and toured internationally, opening for acts like the All American Rejects, Motion City Soundtrack and Towers of London at venues such as The Fillmore, Nokia Theater and Shepherd’s Bush Empire. In 2007, they were awarded Best Underground Indie Band by SPIN.
